Zweig Law Firm Secures Reversal in MTA Access-A-Ride Case
In December 2025, Alexander Novak filed an Article 78 proceeding on behalf of a client wrongfully denied Access-A-Ride services by the MTA. At a court appearance in January, the MTA requested additional time to respond to the petition. Days later, their attorney called to reverse the decision entirely, granting the client the services she had requested.
The case highlights concerns about the MTA's approval process for Access-A-Ride applications, including allegations that the agency fails to follow its own Independent Medical Examination reports when denying applicants.
